Terms of Service: Join Guard (Telegram bot)
1. The service
Join Guard ("the bot") screens requests to join Telegram groups and channels according to rules set by the chat administrator, and approves, declines or forwards them to the administrator. The operator is FOP Ihor Aleksandrin, 70 Ispanska St., Kharkiv, 61205, Ukraine.
2. Who may use it
Administrators of a Telegram group or channel who add the bot with the "Invite users" right. You must be allowed to administer the chat and to use Telegram under Telegram's own terms.
3. Plans
- Free: 1 active chat, 50 screened requests per calendar month (UTC), profile rules, rules screen, manual review queue. After the limit, new requests wait in your review queue and are not screened automatically.
- Pro: per chat, 400 Telegram Stars per 30 days (price may change; the price shown in the bot at the time of purchase applies). Unlimited requests, quiz, decision log, CSV export.
4. Payments and refunds
- Pro is sold only in Telegram Stars inside Telegram. Stars are handled by Telegram under Telegram's terms; we receive the payment through Telegram.
- The monthly subscription renews automatically until you cancel it (/cancel). Cancelling keeps Pro until the end of the paid period. You can also pay once for 30 days.
- Refunds are decided case by case, usually when requested within 7 days of purchase and when the service did not work as described. Write to the contact shown by /paysupport and include the charge ID. A refund ends Pro for that chat.
- Taxes: prices include any applicable taxes as handled by Telegram.
5. Your responsibilities
- You are responsible for your chat's rules and for the decisions the bot makes on your behalf, including who you choose to admit or refuse.
- Do not use the bot to discriminate unlawfully, to harass, or to collect personal data of applicants for other purposes.
- Tell applicants, where the law requires, that join requests are screened (for example in the chat description or the rules text).
- Keep your administrator account secure.
6. No guarantee
Screening rules reduce spam; they do not stop all of it and may refuse some genuine people. Telegram does not provide every profile detail to bots (for example account age), and some checks (such as profile photo) may be unavailable for some users, in which case the bot does not penalise the applicant. The service is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost chat members, spam that got through, or indirect loss. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
7. Availability and changes
The bot may be unavailable during maintenance or because of problems at Telegram or Cloudflare. We may change features and prices; a price change does not affect a period already paid. We may suspend a chat that abuses the service or violates Telegram's rules.
8. Data
See the Privacy Policy. Applicant data is kept up to 90 days after a decision; applicant bios are deleted on decision.
9. Governing law
The laws of Ukraine apply. Consumers keep any mandatory rights of their country of residence.
